St. Claude Fine Arts Gallery 

The University of New Orleans Research and Technology Foundation, Inc. leased the property at a normal cost from a benefactor, oversaw improvements and made property available to the University of New Orleans as an urban fine arts gallery.

Lake Pontchartrain Basin Restoration Program 

For the last ten years, the University of New Orleans Research and Technology Foundation, Inc. has managed multiple grants funded by the United States Environmental Protection Agency for the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Restoration Program that provides the means for selected parishes to carry out projects that help to restore the ecological health of the Lake Pontchartrain Basin.

Shea Penland Coastal Education and Research Facility

In conjunction with a donation from the Foundation for Coastal and Habitat Enhancement Studies, the University of New Orleans Research and Technology Foundation, Inc. acquired and improved the facilities and the leasehold interests in the boat slips.  In November of 2009, the University of New Orleans Research and Technology Foundation, Inc. invested $190,000 for renovations in support of the $800,000 facility.

 University of New Orleans / Avondale Center for Maritime Excellence

Developed through a cooperative endeavor among the University of New Orleans Research and Technology Foundation, Inc., the State of Louisiana Department of Economic Development, Avondale Industries and the University of New Orleans, the Avondale Center serves as home for 400 of Huntington Ingalls’ engineering and design employees and functions as a research and teaching laboratory for the University of New Orleans’ School of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering.  The creation of the Maritime Center was an integral part of the United States Navy contract awarded to a consortium led by Avondale, which is owned by Huntington Ingalls Industries.

International Summer School – University of New Orleans Innsbruck

The University of New Orleans Research and Technology Foundation, Inc. provides financial and contract management services in support of the University of New Orleans’ annual program in Innsbruck, Austria.  More than forty undergraduate or graduate credit courses are taught by American and European faculty, and students attending earn college credit while living and traveling throughout Central Europe.
